PUBLISHED

The September issue of Eckler Chevy Classics will feature the 55.  Thank you to my family for supporting me and making this dream a reality!!  Without each and every one of you, this would not have been possible.

I love you dad.

I was contacted by a photographer... Matthew Little.... to see if i would be interested in submitting the 55 to be featured in Ecklers Chevy parts catalog.  Long story short, the 55 was chosen and here is the link to the pictures.

16 YEARS LATER

If I am dreaming. please don't wake me up!!

October, 2nd 2015 I began a project to breath life into my late fathers pride and joy - his 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hard top. This experience has taught me a lot, it has brought me closer to my father, I have made new friends, and it has show me just how much love and support those around me can give.

This would not have been possible without the love and support of my wife, my mother, and close family members.  I want to thank you all so very much for allowing me to follow this dream. It has been a struggle at times and there have been a few setbacks, but in the end, what I thought unachievable is now a reality.

Bill Woesnner, who I now consider a friend, helped push the project over the finish line.

I hope that my father is smiling down and approves of the re-restoration and he is with us as we enjoy making new memories.

Cleans up well ..... last bath was somewhere around 2000!

Home stretch

A lot of work has been done over the past three weeks, thanks Bill Woessner, and it appears that the 55 will be on the road in the next two weeks. This has been 16 years in the making and I  am excited and nervous at the same time.  I find myself  thinking of my dad more and more, wondering if he would approve of the changes that have been made, wondering if he has watched over me, wondering if he will join me when driving the 55. I would like to think he has been around, maybe just not letting me know.

This would not have been possible without the help and support of my wife, my mother, and my brother.

Here are some pictures of what has been happening.
